The Proficy CIMPLICITY file deployment system provides the tools to automatically synchronize selected files, including CimView screens, global scripts and global parameter files, from a CIMPLICITY deployment server to its viewers.

Deployment core files

Server to viewer deployment is based on two core files.

Description

gefdepl.dplcfg

A configuration file:

Is created (or modified) when the deployment configuration is saved in the CIMPLICITY Configuration Editor.

Includes the details of what files should be deployed, from where, to which viewers and when.

Will be copied to the Viewer(s) that are included in the synchronization.

Note: The location on the Viewer is in the installation \Data folder.

..\Program Files\GE Fanuc\Proficy CIMPLICITY\Data

cimsync.exe

A service file:

Is located on each Viewer included in the synchronization.

Does the actual synchronization.

The file location is the installation exe folder.

The default installation location is:

..\Program Files\GE Fanuc\Proficy CIMPLICITY\exe
