The value you enter in the Description field for a selected node will display as a tool tip in CimView, when a  user selects the node's Navigation menu item.

Enter a description in the Description field in the Configuration Editor right pane for the selected node.

Result: During runtime, when a user hovers over a button on the Navigation menu bar that has a description, the description displays as a tool tip for both:

A CimView Navigation button

A CimView Navigation item

Note: If a description is not entered, the name entered as the node name, in the Navigation Configuration Editor left pane, displays as a tool tip.
