Example: Source and Class Object Names Used

Enter an object name for the CimEdit source object.

Enter a name for the group object in the source object's Properties dialog box.

Select a group on a class CimEdit screen.

Open the Properties Group dialog box.

Select the General tab.

Enter object in the Object name field.

Object displays in the title bar.

Object displays as the Graphic Name in the class object's Properties -Class Object dialog box.

  1. Enter a name for the group object in the source object's Properties dialog box.

Select the Variables tab in the source object's Properties - Group tab.

Create a public variable.

 

Enter $OBJECT in the Variable field.

 

Check Public.

$OBJECT displays as a variable in the class object's Properties -Class Object dialog box.

$OBJECT:

Is read-ony

Is inherited

Has the class object name, TANK1, as its value.
