The PC must be able to communicate successfully with the CNC.
If communication fails, run the test_cnc utility in order to verify communication to the CNC.

If you do not receive a response when you try to connect to the CNC.
Check to see if any other PC-vendor printed circuit board is using the HSSB assigned I/O address.
Check the rotary switch settings on the CNC-based HSSB printed circuit board.
The switch should be set to 1 to start up in normal mode. (If you change the setting, remember to cycle CNC power.)
Reboot the PC and look at Windows Boot Log or the CIMPLICITY supported operating system System Log for errors that HSSB Driver is installed.
Verify that the target CNC has the correct software and the option is enabled.
Verify that the green LED located on the HSSB PC printed circuit board is ON after the CNC/ PC boot. This LED is visible from the rear of the PC next to the fiber optic connection.
Reboot the PC and CNC after changing any setup configuration data.
If you do not receive a response when you ping the IP address:
Check with your Network Administrator to ensure that the
IP address is not in use by another device,
Subnet mask is correct for the device.
