The primary function of FirstPAGE is to send pages to remote destinations. This is facilitated through the use of FirstPAGE Server and a central service provider. FirstPAGE Client allows you to use these two elements to create and deliver electronic pages simply and efficiently.
When you send out a page there will be a delay, which will vary from system to system.
This delay is based on two main factors: the page server interval and your pager service provider. The page server interval is defined by your system manager and defines how often the page server connects to your pager service provider and uploads the queued pages.
Sending a page is a simple process assuming you know the name or alias of the recipient. The following procedures take you through the steps involved in sending pages via the Standard Mode as well as sending pages using the Classic Mode.
