Before beginning the installation, it is important to determine the hardware and software requirements necessary for FirstPAGE Server.
The following list contains important decisions that must be considered before the software is installed:

Additional Requirements
Determine which disk
drive/directory your pager server software will reside on. The
server software itself requires 120 MB of disk space for
installation and operation.
Contact your pager provider and
ask them what connection methods and protocols they support for
remitting messages into their network.
Contact you pager provider and ask
them what the Network ID's are for each destination you are going
to use with FirstPAGE.
Configure any modem(s) or serial
ports to function with standard communications software for the
platform you are using (e.g. HyperTerminal) and ensure any TCP/IP
hosts can be reached from your server, without the need of a proxy
server.
