Purpose

To limit the size of the Point Translation cache on systems that have a large number of points. Point Translation adds points to the cache when Point Management applications (for example, scripts, CimView windows, Point Control Panel, etc.) requests point information.

 Caution: If the applications on a project are likely to cycle through all the points, limiting the cache size may cause point information to update more slowly than expected.

Value

Enter 0 or delete the global parameter if you do not want to limit the cache size. Otherwise, enter the number of points to be put into the cache.
