When you enter a message in the Alarm message field, the Alarm limits box displays.

Basic entries for analog or Boolean points are as follows.

1	Alarm message

Message display with the alarm in Alarm Viewer. This message may contain text plus variable information that is determined when the alarm is generated.

Note: Using several of the available alarm message variables can involve advanced configuration.

2	Alarm limits

At least one Limit field must be filled in.

The following identifies the limit values that will trigger alarms.

Limit types differ between analog and Boolean points.

A	Analog point alarms
	Hi-2	Highest
	Hi-1	Next to highest
	Lo-1	Next to lowest
	Lo-2	Lowest
B	Boolean point alarms
	Alarm on value of 1		1
	Alarm on value of 0		0
