Step 1. Enable the Proficy Driver Server

  1. To create a new project and enable Proficy Driver Server, do one of the following:

Method 1

Select File in the menu bar, then New, and then select Project.

Method 2

Select the Project icon in the Workbench toolbar.

The Create As dialog box appears when you use either method.

  1. In the Project field, create a name for your project.

  2. (Optional) In the Options field, choose any option appropriate for your project.

  3. In the Protocols group box, select Proficy Driver Server.

  4. Click Create to create the project with the Proficy Driver Server protocol.

The Project Properties dialog box opens.

  1. Do one of the following,

Edit your previous selections in the General tab.

Click OK to continue.

Result: A project is created in CIMPLICITY with Proficy Driver Server enabled.

Note: Clearing Proficy Driver Server in the Protocols field of the General tab will disable Proficy Driver Server for CIMPLICITY.
