Network partition occurs when the computer network fails. Each CIMPLICITY server continues to perform its own functions, but there is no communications between the servers. Secondary servers will perform their automatic takeover procedures. In other words, both the primary and secondary servers act as master.
To make one server master when two are performing automatic takeover:
On each secondary server, use Stop to shut down the CIMPLICITY project.
Repair the network.
After the network is restored, use Start to bring the project on the secondary server back online.
Note: The above procedure assumes that the CIMPLICITY project is still running on the primary server. If the project has been shut down, then use the normal startup procedures to restart the project on both the primary and secondary server.
