Cabling Redundancy Example

In this configuration, each non-redundant PLC has a redundant connection to an Ethernet LAN. The LAN can be a single or redundant Ethernet LAN.

 To configure the port:

On the port's TCP/IP tab:

Clear the PLC Redundancy checkbox.

Remember that when you do this, none of the PLCs on this port can use PLC redundancy.

To configure the redundant cabling:

On the device's TCP/IP tab:

  1. Set the Cable Redundancy check box.

  2. Enter the IP address of the primary Ethernet card in the Primary Cable Address field for the Primary PLC.

  3. Enter the IP address of the secondary Ethernet card in the Secondary Cable Address field for the Primary PLC.
