The hostname for each connection must exist in the Windows file named "hosts".
The Windows host file is located in:
%Systemroot%\System32\drivers\etc
where %Systemroot% is the default location of the system folder. For example, Windows XP, Windows 2003, and later versions typically use \WINDOWS.
The file may be edited using any text editor.
The format of the host files is:
<IP_address> <name> #<comment>
IP addresses are written as xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx, where x is a number from 0 through 255.
Important: The last line in the hosts file must
be left blank, (i.e. the file must end with a blank line) or the
last line with data in it will be ignored.
