  1. Select the COM Security tab in the My Computer Properties dialog box.

  2. Configure permissions as follows.

  1. Click Edit Limits….

The Access Permissions dialog box opens.

  1. Add the following.

If you are configuring local peer to peer/non-domain users:

 

Select the local node name (referred to as {node} in the List Names From: combo box.

If you are configuring a domain user

Select the correct domain that has the user account you wish to use. The {node} prefix below would become a domain prefix now.

Make sure the following are selected.

{node}\Administrators

NETWORK

SYSTEM

Check Allow for each of the following (for the selected group or user names).

Local Access.

Remote Access.

  1. Click OK.

Result: The My Computer Properties dialog box displays.

  1. Click Edit….

The Launch Permissions dialog box opens.

  1. Add the following.
