Communications components

The communications components of a project are the configured representation of the communications hardware in your system. They include:

	Board	Hardware enabling various types of communication with I/O Devices See Boards Properties
	Port	The physical connection between the board and the I/O Device See Ports Properties
	Modem	Hardware used to connect CitectSCADA to a dial-up remote I/O Device. See To set up a modem in CitectSCADA:
	I/O Devices	An item of equipment that communicates with plant-floor control or monitoring equipment See I/O Devices Properties
	I/O Device address	The unique address of an I/O Device CitectSCADA is communicating with
