Applies To:
  • CitectSCADA 1.00, 1.01, 1.10, 1.11, 2.00, 2.01

Summary:
If you change the configuration of the historical trending (for example increase the number of trend files), these changes will not effect the running Citect system unless you delete the existing trend files.

When Citect starts the trend system it checks if the trend files exist. If they exist then it does not check if their configuration matches the database configuration. This is because if Citect did check the configuration, the trending system would take a very long time to startup. So if you want the increase the number of trend files after you change the database configuration, you should delete the trend files. Citect will recreate them to your new configuration.

Solution:
When changing the configuration of the historical trending that would effect the number, time or period of the trend files you must delete the trend files associated with that tag.
