Summary:
When converting Citect for DOS symbols into the Citect for Windows Version 1.XX format, it is possible that the convert program will run out of memory. 

Solution:
To get around this problem make sure the maximum DOS memory is available before running the conversion. If you still run out of memory, you may convert the symbols is a few passes as explained below:

For example, if you have symbol files 1 to 10, the convert program may convert files 1..3 before running out of memory. Now delete the original files 1..3, and run the convert program again. It will now start converting files 4..10. Repeat this process until all files are converted.
