Summary:
It is not easy to configure a category of alarms that are logged but not displayed. This feature was possible in Citect for DOS. 

Solution:
You can configure alarms that are not displayed but are logged by putting all these alarms in a special area. You then make this area not visible to the operators. The alarms will be processed as normal and logged to the device(s), but the operators will not be able to see the alarms on the alarm page, and they will not enable the alarm banners.
