Summary:
If you edit a trend record and change any of the following fields, you must delete the existing trend files for the edit to take effect. These fields are:

Sample Period
Time
Period
Number of Files

If you don't delete the existing trend files, Citect will use the old configuration which may cause unpredictable trending. 

Solution:
If you edit any of the above fields in a trend definition, you must delete the associated trend files.
