Summary:
Question: I am logging alarms to a printer and I would also like to log them to a text file at the same time. 

Solution:
Devices can be grouped together using the Groups database. Then the group name can be used as the log device, and the alarms will go to all the devices that have been specified in the group. This system of using a group name for a group of devices can be used with any Device Cicode functions. When you read from a group of devices, data will only be read from the first device in the group.
