Summary:
Windows for Workgroups version 3.11 provides Microsoft's implementation of IPX/SPX protocol. This protocol will allow you to route NetBIOS through a Novell Netware file server, and allow you to communicate with other computers using the Novell NetBIOS emulator. It has been found that this protocol is slower than the Microsoft NetBEUI protocol. 

Solution:
If you don't need to route NetBIOS through a Novell file server or need to communicate with other computers using Novell NetBIOS emulator, use NetBEUI protocol. NetBEUI provides better performance between your Citect clients and Citect servers.
