Summary: |
Under some conditions, Windows may crash out to the DOS prompt. Windows may exit to the DOS prompt, or just hang with a black screen and frozen cursor. If Citect is running - and communicating on a network - and Windows is running out of physical memory, Windows may crash. We have found that Windows is unreliable under low memory conditions, so if you are experiencing crashes check for available free memory. See Q1034. |
Solution: |
Free up more physical memory, or add
memory to the computer. You can free up more physical memory by
reducing the size of the SMARTDRV cache, or unloading other
programs. Adding extra virtual memory will not improve this problem
- you need real physical memory.
