Question: What is the cause of the error "CANNOT OPEN : INCLUDE\VARIABLE.DBF"? I get this error when I try to use the drop down combo box on the expression field in CtDraw.

Solution:

This error occurs when CtEdit or CtDraw cannot open the specified file. A common reason for this error (with Windows version 3.1) is that SHARE.EXE is not loaded in the AUTOEXEC.BAT file. If you are using Windows version 3.1, check that SHARE.EXE is loaded in your AUTOEXEC.BAT file. Share is not required for Windows for Workgroups 3.1 or later, so you don't have to load it for Windows for Workgroups 3.1 or later.
