| Some alarms will have the user name of
SYSTEM and not the logged in user name because these alarms have
been generated by the system. All new alarms have the user name
SYSTEM, because the operator did not generate the alarms - they
were generated by the plant. The user name will only be changed to
the logged in operator if that operator does some operation on the
alarm. For example acknowledging or disabling the alarm.
The alarms are processed on the alarm server. (Operators are
only clients logged into the server.) For example, when you have
two operators logged into the same alarm server, and an alarm is
generated, then who does the alarm belong to? As you can see in
this case the alarms don't belong to either of the operators until
an operator does some operation on the alarm. |
