If you have a printer connected to the protection key, and you are sending output to that printer, you may get the error message 'No Protection Key Found' and Citect will shutdown. Citect may fail to find the protection key while data is being transferred to the printer. Under this condition Citect will shutdown. 

To stop this problem you must disable the option 'Fast Printing Direct to Port' in the Control Panel. (1) From the control panel select the Printers Icon. (2) Select the required printer. (3) Use the Connect button to display the port the printer is connected to, and (4) uncheck the option Fast Printing Direct to Port. This will stop the "No Protection Key Found" error message.
