Summary:
Question: When I acknowledge an alarm, the time of the alarm is changed to the time when I acknowledged the alarm. Is there a way to stop Citect from doing this?

Solution:
You can stop Citect from changing the time of an alarm when you acknowlege it with the parameter [ALARM]SetTimeOnAck=0. This tells Citect not to set the time when the alarm is acknowleged.

Note that earlier documentation on the [ALARM]SetTimeOnAck parameter is incorrect. It states that the default value is 0 and that 2 will set the time on ack. To set the time on ack you should set the parameter to 1 and currently the default value is 1. To disable Citect from setting the time, set the parameter to 0.
