Summary:
CTDraw allows you to choose a colour for the shadow in a filled square, but it always remains grey. 

Solution:
The shadow colour is only used for the raised and lowered square styles. If you select a shadow style square, the shadow colour is always drawn as a grey pattern. This is the correct operation.
