Summary:
The dat.write.pool is used as a network buffer pool when sending datagram packets to a Citect for DOS client or DOS Scanner. You may get the error "out of buffers" on Dat.Write.Pool, in the SYSLOG.DAT file, and in the kernel. Once you get this error, Citect for Windows will stop sending datagrams to Citect for DOS clients or DOS scanners. This will cause loss of PLC communication. When a NetBIOS error occurs on the send datagram, the associated buffer is lost. Under normal conditions this should not occur. This will eventually cause the out of write buffers error and eventually the I/O Server will not be able to send the data.

This problem will occur in association with Q1308.

Solution:
CIT has confirmed this to be a problem in Citect for Windows. This problem has been fixed after the release of version 2.01 Rev 0 and will be available with next release. If you require this fix before this version contact Citect support.
