Summary:
The startup verbose dialog box is the small dialog box that Citect displays at startup, to show the user the position of the startup sequence. If [system] verbose = 0, then the verbose dialog box will not update and remains displayed. If the verbose dialog is then closed it would shutdown Citect. 

Solution:
To avoid this problem don't set the [system]verbose=0 option. To disable the verbose dialog box you should use the [general]verbose=0 option.
