Summary:
The following procedure sets up a Shiva LanRover with Windows for Workgroups 3.11. 

Solution:
Follow the same basic principles of the Centrum 3Com (see Q1341) to setup the Shiva, and run your system using the generic driver supplied with WFW3.11. You can also setup your system with the drivers supplied by Shiva.

This is much simpler than setting up the 3Com Access Server.

The software supplied from Shiva must be installed as a separate network adaptor. It will also install a driver to access the com port from Windows for Workgroups - to allow you to dial in from WFW and establish your connection from there.

The Shiva installation program and documentation are very thorough and easy to follow.

The Shiva software will also install its own management software onto a PC (that is running on the LAN) to enable you to change the configuration of the LanRover. It will also install a com port redirector to enable you to use any Windows Terminal package to dial out from the LanRover.
