Summary:

Using DevControl(hDev, 1, "") to pack a DBF type device gives a Hardware alarm "Cicode General Opening file" if the file extension is not specified in the device definition. For example if you specify "[RUN]:recipes" instead of "[RUN]:recipes.dbf.

Solution:

To make the pack DBF function work correctly add the DBF extension to the database file name.
