Summary:
This article contains the list of protocol specific error messages. These error messages will be shipped with Citect for Windows version 3.0. However they are still useful for earlier versions of Citect for Windows as you can get the driver error code in the Citect kernel and then lookup the associated error message.

Solution:
The file CITECT\BIN\PROTERR.DBF contains all the protocol specific error messages (version 3.0 and greater only).

A blank protocol field means that error applies to any protocol. A number are in hexadecimal. The mask is used in protocols that have multiple classes of errors. Some drivers have the same set of error codes, they are indicated in this document by a leading digit.

  • MODBUS, MBPLUS 1
  • TIWAY, TISERIAL 2
  • KT, KE, ABKE, ABEI 3
  • FUJI, FUJIT 4
  • RELIANCE, RNET 5
