Summary:
Question: When I acknowledge alarms using the mouse and click the mouse ""Invalid Command"" will be flashed at the prompt line intermittently. What is causing this message.

Solution:
The "Invalid Command" message is displayed when a keyboard command is entered which does not match any keyboard command configured in your project. This is used to inform the operator that the keyboard sequence entered has failed. When the mouse is used each click down and up is treated as a keyboard command. This allows you to attach commands on the mouse down, up and double click messages.

The reason why you get the invalid command message is, if you configure a command on a mouse down message that command will be executed when the operator presses the mouse down. When the mouse is released the Citect will get the mouse up message and if there is no command configured for this key you will get the invalid command message.

In versions 1.xx and 2.xx you may work around this problem by configuring global keyboard commands which do nothing (Command field blank) for these mouse commands. So when ever the operator click the mouse and there is not other command configured on the page these commands will be executed.

In Version 3.0 if a keyboard command is not configured for a mouse message the "Invalid Command" message is not displayed.
