Summary:
If the Server names is longer than 10 characters the clients will not attach correctly to the Server. This will happen with Windows for Workgroups 3.11 with NetBEUI protocol. 

Solution:
You should make the Server name to be a maximum of 10 characters. Citect for Windows version 3.0 now checks for this error and will display the error:

Server Name '<name>' too long
Maximum of 10 characters.

if you enter a server name greater than 10 characters.
