Summary:
The function StrGetChar() is not behave well with buffers. This function returns a zero when indexing characters beyond the first 0 found in the buffer. The buffers are used with the serial com port functions ComOpen, ComRead and ComWrite.

CIT has confirmed this to be a problem in Citect for Windows versions 1.00 to 2.01. This problem has been fixed in version 2.10 and later.

 

Solution:
Use version 2.10 or later.
