Summary:
If you change the name of an IO Server and hit replace any ports/boards etc. Hanging off that server keep the old server name and so become floating with no server to work from.

CIT has confirmed this to be a problem in Citect for Windows versions 2.00 to 3.00. We are researching this problem and will post new information here as it becomes available.

 

Solution:
You can bring out two forms for the IOServer in CtEdit, add one record by the new name in one form and then reconfigure the new ports/boards etc. using the Copy Record and Paste Record in the Edit menu. Finally you can delete the old IO Server name record and answer Yes to the Confirmation of deleting all associated records.
