Summary: |
In CtEdit I had the the Quick Edit forms (Edit Library, Edit Pages, and Edit Reports) open and changed projects and now they don't work properly any more. When the project changed the contents of the list boxes where changed to reflect the changed project but when I double clicked on a particular record it either brought up the wrong record or nothing at all. Why does it do this and how can I fix it? |
Solution: |
Due to a problem in CtEdit the Quick Edit forms which include Edit Library, Edit Pages and Edit Reports will not work correctly if the forms are left open and the project is changed. When a quick edit form is opened the project directory is noted and this directory is used as the path to locate the file associated with the selected record. When projects are change the record lists are updated but the project path noted by the Quick edit forms are not. The net effect of this is that when you edit a record either the wrong file or no file at all is opened. The only way to avoid this problem is to close and re-open the Quick edit forms. After re-opening they will be referencing the current project. |
