Summary:
When adding a new tag the system is optimized not to do a full compile. However this will not add the tag to the TagDB table. So any super genie which requires this tag will not work until a full compile is done and a full restarte is done. 

Solution:
CIT has confirmed this to be a problem in Citect for Windows version 3.0. We are researching this problem and will post new information here as it becomes available.

You may work around this problem by doing a full compile whenever you add new tags to your project and require these tags to be used in super genies. This will also be true for the advanced DDE feature.
