Summary:
The following is a description of the Generic PLC variables. This protocol was added in Citect for Windows Version 3.0. This protocol is only used for Memory and Disk PLCs, there is no physical generic PLC. 

Solution:
I/O Devices form
Name: User supplied unique name
Number: Network wide I/O device number
Address: <File List> for DiskDrv or Blank for Memory
Protocol: GENERIC
Port name: DISKDRV or MEMORY
