Question: My Citect system is running very slowly and I am getting a very large amount of disk access. I have also found that my DISK PLC keeps growing and is now around 16MB IN size. What is going wrong? |
Solution: |
You have configured two DISK PLCS with the
same file name. This is causing Citect to keep appending onto the
same disk PLC file, causing it to keep growing. As the disk PLC
file gets bigger, Citect is consuming more memory to load it and
accessing the disk more frequently to read and write to the file.
To fix the problem make sure each DISK PLC has a unique file name. |
