Summary:
I am getting hardware errors when using the TIWAY CVU card on a Pentium 100 computer. If I run the same CVU card and Citect project on my 486/33 the system runs OK. The Pentium computer will run OK sometimes but every now and then I get timeout hardware errors and the PLC's may go offline and then online again.

Solution:
CIT has confirmed this to be a problem in Citect for Windows versions 1.0 to 3.10. This problem has been fixed in version 3.2. You may also use the latest TIWAY driver from the BBS with previous versions of Citect if you don't want to upgrade to version 3.2.

More information.

Siemens has reported that the CVU card was originally designed for much slower computers and cannot keep up with the new faster computers. You may experience this problem with computers from 486/66 and faster. Siemens has provided CiT with the required work around to solve this problem and this change has been included into the latest TIWAY driver.
