  • CitectSCADA 3.00

Summary:
The current documentation for the SINEC protocol does not provide detailed information on setting up the CP143 TF communication processor in a controller. The following information is taken from a simple test configuration used to demonstrate communications between Citect and a S5 135u with a CP143 TF card over H1.

Solution:
Dump from the Siemens CP143 configurator software package:

   CP 143
Application Associations SOURCE: AS511 Direct

SSNR : 0 ANR : 1 ANZW : FW100
LOCAL TSAP :- LENGTH 8 HEX: 55 4E 49 54 31 5F 43 54 ASC: UNIT1_CT
EST TYPE (A4/A7/D4/D7/P4/P7) : P4 MUX ADDRESS : 0
APPL. ASS. NAME. : APPL1
REMOTE TSAP :- LENGTH 8 HEX: 43 54 5F 55 4E 49 54 31 ASC:CT_UNIT1
REMOTE ETHERNET ADDRESS : 080006010000
NUMBER OF APPL. ASS. FOR CURRENT TSAP : 1 CURRENT JOB : 1

Most of the settings shown here are crucial for communications to operate. Here is a short check list.

  1. REMOTE ETHERNET ADDRESS
Must match local ethernet address of the CP1413 card in the Citect computer.
  2. EST TYPE
Must be P4 for an H1 connection.
  3. MUX ADDRESS
Must match the mux address set in the .LDB file for the CP1413 card.
  4. LOCAL TSAP
Must match the remote tsap set in the .LDB file for the CP1413 card.
  5. REMOTE TSAP
Must match the local tsap set in the .LDB file for the CP1413 card.

This configuration information applies only to communications using the SINEC driver to communicate via H1 (ethernet) to Siemens S5 plc's.
