Question: If I create a new page in draw
with nothing on it, save it and then try to open the page I get the
following error.
Error reading <name>. This file is corrupt and should be deleted before continuing. |
Solution: |
CIT has confirmed this to be a problem in
Citect for Windows versions 2.00 to 3.21 and 4.00. This problem has
been fixed in version 4.10 and 3.30.
When a graphic file is loaded from disk, the Graphic Builder will check the header of the file to make sure it looks correct. If it finds any error in the data the above error message will be displayed and the load will be aborted. The time/date the file is created is also saved in the header of the file. When the file is loaded this date/time is checked to make sure it looks valid. Any dates before 1990 are assumed to be invalid and will cause this error to be generated. So if you have your computers clock set before 1990 you will get this error message. In later versions of Citect this check has been removed. |
