Summary: |
Running CiNet will cause Out of Buffers NCBPool error messages in the kernel window. CiNet will then stop working. |
Solution: |
The default Lan Watch Time has been
reduced from 30 seconds to 2 seconds in version 3.40 and 4.20. This
has been done to give faster change over times when a primary
Citect server fails. The reduced watch time will cause CiNet to
generate Out of Buffers in the NCBPool error message and cause
CiNet to stop communicating. To resolve this problem set the Lan
Watch time back to 30 seconds by setting the following parameter:
[LAN] The default number of network receive buffers has been increased from 2 to 16 in version 4.20 to give extra performance. This default will only increase if running Citect under Windows NT. The default remains at 2 when running Citect under Windows 95. You may want to reduce the number of receive buffers to 2 if you are only using CINET as will not increase the performance. [LAN] |
