Summary: |
Trend files are created in BIN directory instead of DATA directory if the user specifies a path substituition string that is not recognized by Citect. |
Solution: |
If Citect does not recognize the path
substituition string entered in the File Name field of the Trend
Tags form then the trend files will be created in the BIN
directory. Example : The user defines the following path in the
Citect.INI file
[PATH] and on the Trend Tags form File Name : [TRN_08]:Trend_08 then trend files will be created in the c:\citect\trn_08 directory. However, if the user fails to define [PATH]TRN_08 in the Citect.INI file then the trend files will be created in the BIN directory. This has been fixed in version 5. In version 5 Citect will abort the operation at start up if it cannot resolve the trend files directory. |
