Summary:
Should I use Citect's CiNet or Microsoft RAS for remote access? 

Solution:
CiNet was developed by Ci Technologies when there was no other suitable remote access solution available. Now that Microsoft RAS has matured we have decided not to do any more development on CiNet. We recommend that on all new systems use Microsoft RAS, Shiva LanRover (or similar hardware type RAS) be used instead of CiNet. If you are having trouble with your existing system then it may be a good time to look at a RAS solution.
