Summary:
Trends that are displayed on a trend page, prior to Citect version 4.2, used to keep their mode when the trend page is closed and reopened. Citect version 4.1 displays the same trends in real-time mode regardless of their mode before the trend page is closed. Is there a workaround?  

Solution:
CIT has confirmed this to be a problem in Citect for Windows version 4.2 (3.4). This problem has been fixed in version 5.

The only workaround to the problem is instead of using PageTrend Cicode function, is to define the pens in the Page Trends form and use PageDisplay Cicode function. As this solution is using the old trend system it is not an elegant solution.
