Summary:
I need to stop my alarms from printing, one alarm per page. Can LPT1.DOS be used in NT? 

Solution:
Yes, LPT1.DOS can be used with NT but of course it must be a local printer, i.e. the Alarm server must have its own printer attached. the Device in Citect can be configured as follows.

Name: LPT1DOS
Format: {TIME,8}^t{TAG,10}^t{NAME,20}^t{COMMENT,30}
File name: LPT1.DOS
Type: ASCII_DEV LPT1DOS {TIME,8}^t{TAG,10}^t{NAME,20}^t{COMMENT,30} LPT1.DOS ASCII_DEV
