Summary:
If the user selects a new pen from the TrendSelectPen form, using comments to select the pen, the pen will be added twice. This means the next two available pens will be assigned to the selected pen.  

Solution:
CIT confirms this to be a problem in Citect Versions 3.00 to 4.20. This problem has been fixed in version 5.00.

You may workaround this problem by only using trend tags to add new pens.
