Summary:
DDEformu.xls is an Excel macro which uses DDE to grab data out of a running Citect system. When I choose to select a large number of trend samples from Citect using DDEformu.xls I sometimes suffer a Citect crash. What can I do? 

Solution:
CIT has confirmed this to be a problem in Citect for Windows versions 3.40 to 4.20. This problem has been fixed in version 5.00.

A workaround is to use smaller numbers of samples. In general, moderately sized requests for data will go through without too much trouble, exceeding the limitation you may strike if you use Windows 95 for a similar operation. However, very large sample sets will cause Citect to crash.
