Summary:
Question: How do I find out what the NetBIOS LANA numbers are when running under Windows NT 4.0?

Solution:
Startup the control Panel and select the Network Icon. Select the Services Tab and select the NetBIOS Interface service. Press the Properties.. button and you will see a list of the NetBIOS Lana Number for all the NetBIOS network routes on your computer.

The Network Route will be displayed with the protocol->Network card->Instance of that card.

  • Nbf is NetBEUI protocol
  • NetBT is NetBIOS over TCP/IP
  • NwlknNb is NetBIOS over IPX (Novell NetBIOS emulation)

You can also use the Edit button to change the LANA numbers for each protocol.
